1. Services Offered:
Berkhamsted Hire specialises in hire machines and their repair, maintenance, and related services. Our skilled technicians are committed to providing high-quality workmanship.
2. Estimates and Approval:
Customers will be provided with detailed estimates before any repair work commences. Approval from the customer will be sought before proceeding with any additional repairs or services beyond the initial estimate.
3. Payment:
Payment for services is due upon completion of the repair work. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and cash.
4. Warranty:
Berkhamsted Hire stands behind the quality of it’s work. Repairs come with a 1-month guarantee on labour and relevant parts supplier warranty. All warranty is a return to shop cover; therefore, it is the owners responsibility to return the machine to our workshop at their cost. Initial investigation and diagnosis will initially be chargeable and if found to be manufacturer defect, will be refunded. If it is a part failure, i.e manufacturing defect, then the part will be covered under warranty, but the labour will be chargeable, unless within the first month.
5. Parts and Materials:
We use genuine or approved parts and materials in our repairs, ensuring the integrity and performance of your machine. You must notify us in advance should you request the return of used / worn parts, we do not keep or store used parts. If you require a specific oil / lubricant or brand, this again should be shared prior to work commencement.
6. Customer Responsibilities:
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their machine and approving repair estimates promptly. Failure to do so may affect the completion timeframe.
7. Liability:
Berkhamsted Hire is not liable for any loss or damage or theft to machines including contents/attachments whilst left in our possession during the repair process. Customers are advised to remove valuables/attachments and ensure sufficient insurance cover is in place.
8. Appointment Cancellations:
Customers must provide 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee
